ESAS Qiz Night

Every year ESAS holds its annual General Knowledge Quiz, this is one of our social gatherings and is open to anyone who wants to takepart. The ultimate goal this year was for a team to beat our reigning champions‘The Speccies’ who have only lost once in Seven years!  Also many teams were fighting over the covetedWooden Spoon which goes to the loosing team.

This year we had seven teams vying for the title of ESASQuiz champions, all were well matched and  a closely fought battle ensuedwith the lead hotly contested. At the end of the evening, scores all toted up,team Phobos were declared the winners on 46 points.  Three teams came equal second on 43½ points;Team Lawes and Forward, Laughton The Trusties, and The Speccies.  5th was team Huge & Cry with 40points and 6th, and who desperately wanted to win the Wooden Spoon, were Team Selmes on 35 ½ points.  In 7thplace our Chairman’s team,  After Chaos, who were the winners of theWooden Spoon on 33½ points.

A fun evening was had by all and prizes were awarded foreach winning round, the overall winning team won a case of wine. The eveningraised over £80 for Society funds.
